A 4.3-magnitude earthquake jolted Beichuan County, southwest China's Sichuan Province, at 11:16 p.m. Saturday Beijing Time, the China Earthquake Networks Center said.
The epicenter, with a depth of 18 km, was determined to be at 31.9degrees north latitude and 104.2 degrees east longitude, the center said.
Beichuan in northwest Sichuan is among the hardest hit by the devastating 8.0-magnitude earthquake on May 12, 2008 in Sichuan's Wenchuan county, which left more than 87,000 people dead or missing.
The tremor on Saturday evening was felt 160 km away in Sichuan's capital city of Chengdu.
Sichuan's earthquake prevention and disaster reduction authorities said they have yet received reports of casualties or damage.
