China and Hungary share a deep traditional friendship and their present ties are at the best in history, the new Chinese ambassador to Hungary said Monday.
When presenting credentials to Hungarian President Janos Ader in Budapest, Xiao Qian pledged efforts to enrich the content of bilateral cooperation and boost the development of bilateral friendly and cooperative partnership.
Ader said Hungary attaches great importance to its relationship with China and would jointly work with the Chinese side to promote their pragmatic cooperation in various fields and inject new vitality into bilateral ties.
Ader also praised China's socioeconomic achievements.
Xiao arrived in the Hungarian capital on Nov. 28 to take up his post.
