The Year of Chinese Culture in Turkey has gotten the curtain call in Ankara. To mark the day, a closing ceremony and gala was held at Turkey's National Theater on Tuesday night.
The gala highlights the integration of Chinese elements and western classic art styles. Launched at the end of 2011, the Year of Chinese Culture in Turkey has hosted more than 70 exhibitions, performances and forums. It is the largest event ever held by China in Turkey.
Back in 2009, Turkish President Abdullah Gul visited China and both sides agreed to hold culture years in each other's country. So now it'll be Turkey's turn to showcase its culture in China in the coming year.
