Police in Fengtai detained a couple for fraud after they claimed they could clone a cellphone SIM card, the Beijing Evening News reported.
The victim, surnamed Gao, suspected his girlfriend of cheating and believed a man, surnamed Hu, who claimed he could clone his girlfriend's SIM for 1,500 yuan ($241). Gao became suspicious when Hu demanded more money. Police arrested Hu and his wife on November 15.
