Nineteen pedestrians who jaywalked at Huizhong Lu, Chaoyang district were fined 10 yuan ($1.6) each Tuesday morning, the Legal Mirror reported.

Beijing police announced Monday they would crackdown on badly behaved pedestrians and drivers that affect the city's traffic order, including those who block the emergency lane.

Traffic police caught the 19 pedestrians in only half an hour.
