All nine people who went missing after a ferry capsized a week ago in central China's Hunan Province have been confirmed dead, the local government said Saturday.
Rescuers retrieved the last body at 3 p.m. Saturday, bringing the death toll to nine, a spokesman for the Anhua county government said.
The ferry, which was carrying four vehicles and 12 people, capsized around 3:40 a.m. on Dec. 9 in waters near the village of Pingshan in Anhua County.
Three of the boat's passengers, including its owner, were rescued, while the other nine went missing.
The cause of the accident is under investigation.
