Crane claims two

Two workers at a mechanical workshop in Minhang district died over the weekend after they were crushed by 2-ton mechanical component, according to a report in the Xinmin Evening News.

Around 10:30 am, the two workers were guiding the component while a crane lowered it to the ground. Somehow, the crane's cables went slack and the component fell.

The two worker immediately lost consciousness. By the time first aid personnel arrived, both had died.
