Layer Code modern dance @ LDTX Theater
Layer Code is the latest modern dance piece from Tibetan choreographer Sang Jijia, and his third for Beijing LDTX Theater. In this collaborative effort, Sang brings on Dickson Dee and Adrian Yeung Chun Yip to take on music composition and visual effects, respectively. In this world premiere, five-night production, Sang aims to show audiences an altered sense of time and space, as though they can view a life being lived again and again.

Wu Kong Biography drama @ Qinglan Theater
The theater adaptation of the popular online novel Wu Kong Biography takes the stage of the Qinglan Theater on January 9. In 2000, author Jin Hezai put his recreation of the Monkey King story online and it became one of the earliest online book sensations, as well as creating more interest in the traditional story among younger audiences. The dramatization, also written by Jin, will tell a different story about the Monkey King.

Russian State Ballet Swan Lake @ National Centre for the Performing Arts
One of the most beloved works by Tchaikovsky, and still enjoying a boost in popularity after the film Black Swan, Swan Lake comes to Beijing with four performances at NCPA by the revered Russian State Ballet.
