Burglary cases on the increase

Burglary cases are increasing with the approach of the Spring Festival, the Legal Mirror reported.

Beijing police announced Sunday that five families were robbed of a total of 340,000 yuan ($54,570) in Shunyi district on Friday alone. There was also an increase in burglaries in some high-end compounds in the Liangmaqiao, Wangjing and Tuanjiehu areas in Chaoyang district since September.
