World of Colors exhibition @ National Art Museum of China

Chen Xiao (also known as Sean Chen) first caught the attention of the art world while spending two decades in New Zealand, where he developed his unique combination of Eastern and Western painting techniques and philosophies. Born in Zhejiang Province, he has traveled across China in search of inspiration in his more than 30-year-long career. His signature paintings include Snow Mountain, The Old City Christchurch, Knox Church, Dunedin and Impression of Shanghai.

Visionary exhibition @ CAFA Art Museum

After premiering in London last October, the group exhibition, Visionary: Contemporary Fine Art from China Central Academy of Fine Art, featuring 70 works by 22 artists from CAFA, comes to Beijing. Not to be missed are Pan Gongkai's Painting of Autumn and Wang Huangsheng's Youxiang.

Rural North China 1947-1948 photo exhibition @ Taikang Space

This photo exhibit focuses on northern China's rural villages during the land reform process of the 1940s, as photographed by David Crook and military photographers Wu Qun and Gao Liang.
