Water leak causes 8-hour traffic jam

Traffic was jammed for eight hours at Xidawang Lu, Chaoyang district Wednesday due to a leak in an underground water pipeline.

Emergency repair work delayed thousands of commuters Wednesday morning, as the road was closed after the leakage at 3 am. Traffic resumed at 4:30 pm, said a media officer surnamed Zhou from the Road Administration of Beijing Municipal Commission of Transport.
