A woman was held hostage by her boyfriend at Fengtai Dongdajie, Fengtai district on Thursday morning. She was rescued by police two hours later, the Beijing Evening News reported.
The man kidnapped his girlfriend by holding a knife to her neck at 9:30 am, and her hand was injured, a witness said, who added the man was from Shanxi Province, and both are in their 20s. Police freed the woman at 11:30 am and detained the suspect.
