China's meteorological authority forecast Saturday that rains are expected to fall on southern China while snow will hit parts of northern China in the coming three days.
Light to moderate rain is forecast for most areas south to the Yangtze River from Saturday to Monday. Some parts may even see heavy rain, according to a statement on the website of the National Meteorological Center.
Snow will fall on parts of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region and northeastern China over the next three days, the statement said.
The center also forecast that fog and haze will decrease visibility to within 1,000 meters in some parts of Hebei, Shandong, Henan, Jiangsu, Anhui, Zhejiang, Hubei and Sichuan provinces and as low as 500 meters in some areas on Saturday morning.
