Three people were buried underground when a coal mine collapsed in northeast China's Liaoning Province on Tuesday, local authorities said.
The accident occurred at noon when three workers were doing repairs underground at the Zhangdang Coal Mine, a private coal mine in Fushun City whose production has been suspended for maintenance reasons, said an official with the provincial administration of coal mine safety.
Rescuers have arrived at the scene to search for the three buried workers and an investigation is underway.
