A 5.1-magnitude earthquake hit Zadoi County, Yushu Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture of northwest China's Qinghai province at 17:27 p.m. Wednesday Beijing Time, according to the China Earthquake Networks Center.
The epicenter was monitored at 32.9 degrees north latitude and 94.7 degrees east longitude with a depth of 20 km.
The quake was followed by a feeble shock of 3.4 magnitude at 17:32 p.m., according to the center. The epicenter was located at 33.0 degrees north latitude and 94.7 degrees east longitude, with a depth of 13 kilometers, the center said.
