Three people were killed and another four were injured in a house explosion in north China's Shanxi Province on Wednesday evening, local authorities said Thursday.
The accident happened at about 5:47 p.m. at a house in Xinjian Street, Fenyang City, a Fenyang municipal government official said.
Illegal storage of detonators contributed to the explosion, according to initial investigation from the police.
The cause of the accident is under investigation.
