A homicide absconder has been captured by Chinese police 10 years after he fled to the Republic of Korea (ROK).
Liang Zhifeng, from the city of Mudanjiang, northeast China's Heilongjiang Province, beat Piao Shunzhe, causing the man serious injury in a massage room together with other suspects. The victim later died.
Liang fled to the ROK and obtained the country's nationality with a fake identity.
In February 2012, the Ministry of Public Security, after finding out the hide-out of Liang, lodged an extradition request to the ROK police through the International Criminal Police Organization.
The ROK revoked Liang's nationality on Feb. 12 this year, and a Seoul court ruled to extradite Liang.
