Palace museums on the Chinese mainland and Taiwan are vigorously promoting cooperation and communication, said Shan Jixiang, curator of the mainland-based Palace Museum, on Wednesday.
Taipei's Palace Museum will borrow artifacts from the Beijing-based Palace Museum for an exhibition scheduled for this autumn, said Shan.
As for when the artifacts from Taipei's Palace Museum will be displayed on the mainland, Shan said there are still some obstacles. "It is not a problem that can be addressed only by the two museums, but need social effort from all sides," he said.
