Adopted fraudster on trial

Wu Zhongmin, 45, stood trial in Chaoyang district court Thursday for cheating his adoptive mother out of a residential property, the Legal Mirror reported.

Wu was adopted by a couple in 1968, but the relationship became strained and the couple legally severed their relationship with him. Wu faked his adoptive mother's death certificate and obtained the home in the name of his already deceased adoptive father.
