Dog-cab crash case settled

A taxi driver and a dog owner have reached agreement with the aid of Miyun district court, the Beijing Youth Daily reported Sunday.

In December 2012, as the dog owner, surnamed Zhao, walked his Labrador off the leash, his dog was hit by a taxi driven at high speed by a man surnamed Li. The dog was injured and the taxi was damaged.

The dog continued to suffer as a consequence of the accident, so Zhao sued Li who then asked for damages for his cab. After court intervention, Zhao dropped the lawsuit.
