At least 14 people were killed and nine injured when a double-decker sleeper coach fell off the Jingzhou Yangtze River Bridge in central China's Hubei Province on Tuesday evening, local authorities have said.
The accident happened at around 7 p.m., when a flat tire caused the coach to break through the guardrail at the southern end of the bridge and hit the ground underneath the structure.
The coach, carrying mostly migrant workers, was heading to Guangzhou City from Enshi City. It did not fall into the Yangtze River, according to the local publicity department.
Rescue work is under way.
