The owner of a deceased Teddy dog, surnamed Zhang, sued the owner of a golden retriever at Changping district court, claiming compensation of 8,800 yuan ($1,419), the Beijing Evening News reported Sunday.
Zhang said the Teddy was trampled to death by the golden retriever. After the tragedy happened, the owner of the golden retriever attempted to flee without apologizing to her. When the police arrived, the owner still behaved impolitely and refused to pay any compensation. Zhang said her pet was bought two years ago and they have deep feelings for it. The compensation she claimed includes the dog's funeral expenses and for her mental damages.
