Hollywood star Tom Cruise hit the stage in Taipei on Saturday, for the premiere of his new sci-fi movie "Oblivion." Joining him at the event were co-star Olga Kurylenko and director Joseph Kosinski.
Hundreds of Taiwan fans got a special treat when Tom Cruise spent almost two hours signing autographs and posing for photos.
It's Cruise's third visit to the region... but his first in 12 years.
Tom Cruise, Actor of Oblivion, said, "I am so happy to be back. I have seen people that I had met 12 years ago in this audience. So thank you so much, I love you all, thank you."
Cruise was asked about the possibility of filming a scene at Taiwan 101, the island's tallest building.
He implied that he'd already thought about it....
"When I am looking at building and I am thinking, how can I climb off it, how could I jump off it. When I go places, I am always looking at building and thinking of different sequences that we could do, how could I climb that, how could I jump out of it, can I fly a helicopter into it." Tom Cruise said.
Ahead of the premiere of his latest film, Oblivion, Cruise spent a somewhat quieter morning at a Ding Tai Fung restaurant, learning how to make Chinese dumplings.
Not so much Mission Impossible, as Mission Accomplished.
"Oblivion" stars Cruise, Olga Kurylenko and Morgan Freeman. Directed by Joseph Kosinski, it's a sci-fi movie about the aftermath of a war with aliens that leaves Earth destroyed.
The movie opens in Taiwan cinemas on Thursday.
