Li extends condolences to British PM over death of Thatcher

Chinese Premier Li Keqiang on Tuesday extended condolences to British Prime Minister David Cameron over the death of former British prime minister Margaret Thatcher.

Thatcher, known worldwide as the "Iron Lady," died Monday at the age of 87 after suffering a stroke.

Thatcher was Conservative prime minister from 1979 to 1990. She was the first and only woman to hold the premiership in Britain.
