Reported military buildup on Sino-DPRK border not true

A Chinese defense ministry spokesman Tuesday said media reports on China's military buildup on its border with the Democratic People's Republic of Korea are untrue.

"Such reports are not true," Yang Yujun, told a press conference.

China is paying close attention to the development of the current situation on the Korean Peninsula and will remain committed to safeguarding peace and stability in Northeast Asia, he said.
