With the rise in the number of H7N9 infections in the country, the need to quickly and correctly detect the infection is vital. To ensure that, China's Center for Disease Control and Prevention has distributed a third batch of tests for the virus.
Most of the 40,000 tests have been sent to Shanghai, and Jiangsu and Zhejiang Provinces. A total of 200,000 tests have now been made available to more than 400 flu research labs across the country. The Center has another 40,000 tests in stock and is coordinating with the country's health authorities to ensure future supplies.
