Police in two cities in East China's Fujian province have seized 1.07 tons of drugs concealed in wooden carvings, and arrested five suspects, the Legal Daily reported on Thursday.
Thanks to a whistleblower's report in January, police uncovered 553.9 kilograms of ketamine in the capital city Fuzhou, and 520 kilograms of other drugs in Xiamen.
The value of the drugs involved was estimated at more than 30 million yuan ($4.85 million), and they were believed to be destined for Taiwan, police said.
