Nobel laureate Mo Yan's new book "Grand Ceremony," written about his trip to Sweden to receive the award, made its debut on Friday at the opening of a national book fair.
The book is his first to be published after he was awarded the 2012 Nobel Prize in Literature in December last year.
Mo said at a publishing ceremony held in Haikou, capital of south China's Hainan Province, that he compiled the book to give readers a first-hand glimpse into his experience.
"The new book also shows my great eagerness to return to my desk to write my next book," Mo said.
Mo Yan, a pseudonym for Guan Moye, was born in 1955 and grew up in Gaomi in east China's Shandong Province. He is the first Chinese national to win the Nobel literature award.
