Chinese VP meets envoy of Moroccan king

Vice President Li Yuanchao on Friday met with Taib Fassi Fihri, special envoy of Moroccan King Mohammed VI.

China and Morocco have seen healthy and stable development in bilateral ties since the two countries first established diplomatic relations, Li said.

He said China attaches great importance to developing ties with Morocco and is willing to promote bilateral relations on the basis of mutual respect, equality and mutual benefit.

Fihri asked Li to pass on a letter from King Mohammed VI to President Xi Jinping.

He said Morocco views China as a strategic partner and is ready to work with China to boost bilateral cooperation.
