The China Meteorological Administration has launched a special weather forcast service in response to the Sichuan earthquake. An additional weather forcast has been included each day to provide the latest on weather conditions in the disaster-hit areas.

The National Meteorological Center says there will be no rain over the next two days, making rescue conditions easier. However next week could see rain, with possible heavy rain on Tuesday.

Geological disaster warnings are also being released. Landslides are believed likely in the north and middle of Ya'an, southeast of Ganzi Prefecture, in Lushan County and Baoshan County. There's also an increased risk of geological disasters in mountainous areas of the region.
