All vehicles not involved in rescue efforts have been banned from using roads in the quake zone area in Sichuan provicne to help people still trapped.
Vehicles carrying relief goods and teams will leave in the morning and return in the evening to aid the smooth flow of traffic in the mountainous region.
The local traffic administration will control vehicles running on the significant yet fragile roads connecting Lushan county to Taiping village and Lingguan township, where the rescue is still undergoing.
Several important roads connecting the areas in need have not been cleared due to the landslides after the earthquake. These are the roads connecting Taiping and Dachuan township, partial road connecting Lushan, the center of earthquake and Baosheng, the area worst hit. The last road not available is the expressway from Aba Tibetan and Qiang autonomous prefecture to Baoxing county.
People can walk from Baoxing to Mingli, Longdong, where vehicles cannot pass due to constant landslides.
Many volunteers changed their vehicles to motorbikes to carry necessary supplies such as water and instant noodles along the Chengdu-Ya'an expressway.
