Eight Chinese ships are in waters near the Diaoyu Islands to monitor Japanese vessels in the area.
According to the website of the State Oceanic Administration, three Chinese marine surveillance ships found a number of Japanese boats early this morning.
Chinese authorities soon deployed five ships in the East China Sea to join the surveillance ships. These fleets will monitor and collect the evidence of Japan's infringement actions, and safeguard China's sovereignty.
