Maids on Spring planes

Shanghai-based Spring Airlines announced recently that they will launch the first themed flight in China on which the female flight crew will dress in maid clothes and the males will dress like housekeepers to provide service.

This service will be available on some domestic flights departing Hongqiao International Airport.

The news has aroused hot debate online. Some Web users think this is merely a publicity stunt for the company.

Others thought that forcing staff to wear such costumes could be demeaning, and the airline is being inconsiderate of flight attendant's feelings and self-esteem.
