Shanghai has recruited more than 120,000 volunteers willing to donate their hematopoietic stem cells, local media reported Sunday.
A total of 271 donations have been completed in the city since 1992.
The Shanghai branch of the Red Cross Society of China has called on the public to donate blood and hematopoietic stem cells at the Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street for the upcoming 66th World Red Cross Day on May 8.
