Seven people who were killed after a building collapsed on Friday in central China's Henan Province have been identified as workers of an unlicensed construction team, local authorities said on Tuesday.

They were locals of Liyuantun township in Weihui City, according to a Yanjin County government spokesman.

The two-story building toppled at 10:20 a.m. in Hedao village, Fengzhuang township in Yanjin, leaving seven construction workers dead and 21 others injured, said the spokesman.

Four of the injured have been discharged from hospital, he added.

Before the tragedy happened, 37 workers were lifting foundations of the building but it tilted and went out of their control, said a worker.
