The State Council, or China's cabinet, on Friday announced a number of government official appointments.
Cai Mingzhao was appointed director of the State Council Information Office (SCIO), while Lu Wei held onto the post as director of the State Internet Information Office and deputy director of the SCIO.
Wang Weiguang was appointed president of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS), replacing Chen Kuiyuan.
Zhao Shengxuan was appointed vice president of the CASS.
China's state councilor Yang Jing concurrently holds the post of president of the Chinese Academy of Governance, replacing Ma Kai.
Li Jiping was appointed chairman of the board of supervisors for key large-sized state-owned enterprises, while Dan Xiaoshan was removed from the post.
