China's reigning champions of the AFC Champions League, Guangzhou Evergrande, were back in action here on Wednesday. Evergrande make the trip down under to take on the Central Coast Mariners in Australia for leg one of their round of 16 tie.
The Chinese Super League title-holders and current Chinese Super League leaders have gotten their match-up with the Mariners off to a solid start.
Things didn't begin so well though for Evergrande as Mitchell Duke opened the scoring in the 7th minute to make it 1-0 for the Aussie side.
But Evergrande's stars would then step up. Paraguayan international Lucas Barrios leveled the match at 1's with a 28th minute strike.
In the 76th, it would be Brazilian striker Muriqui's turn, and his tally would prove to be the winner.
Evergrande pick up a big road win, and will have the 2-1 advantage heading into the return leg in China next week.
