China confirms DPRK's release of Chinese fishing boat

A Chinese consular officer to the DPRK has confirmed the DPRK's release of a private Chinese fishing boat and its crew.

The shipowner of the boat from Dalian in northeast China's Liaoning Province, has told the officer that all the fishermen with the boat are safe and are on their way back. The shipowner did not pay the so-called fine demanded by the DPRK.
