Chinese vice premier meets Thai, Ethiopian deputies

Chinese Vice Premier Liu Yandong on Friday met with Thai Deputy Prime Minister and Education Minister Phongthep Thepkanjana and Ethiopian Deputy Prime Minister and Education Minister Demeke Mekonnen, respectively.

During the meeting with Thepkanjana, Liu spoke highly of the comprehensive strategic and cooperative partnership between China and Thailand.

She said China is willing to work with Thailand to deepen communication in cultural and social fields and inject energy into the two countries' comprehensive cooperation so as to promote bilateral relations.

During the meeting with Mekonnen, Liu said she appreciated Ethiopia's efforts in advancing Africa's revival and development and that China will continue to support the continent's peace and development.

She also voiced hope to work with the Ethiopian side to advance China-Africa ties as well as the China-Ethiopia relationship to a higher level.
