No new H7N9 avian influenza cases have been reported on the Chinese mainland in the past week, China's health authority said Monday.
From May 20 to Monday afternoon, there was one report of an H7N9 case ending in death, and four H7N9 patients recovered, according to a statement issued by the National Health and Family Planning Commission.
To date, the Chinese mainland has reported 130 confirmed H7N9 cases. Of the total, 37 cases ended in death and 76 patients have recovered and been discharged from the hospital, the statement said.
It added that no evidence of human-to-human transmission has been detected.
