The 2013 Asian Mountaineering & Skiing Sports Event on the Gangshika Mountain kicks off Thursday.
More than 90 mountain climbers and skiers from China, South Korea, Singapore and Hong Kong, China will take part in the event.
The Gangshika snow-capped Mountain, lying in Haibei Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture in Qinghai Province, is averagely 4045 meters with its peak reaching 5254.5m.
