Jackie Chan cements legacy in Hollywood

Jackie Chan has become the first Chinese actor to have his hands and feet cast in cement at the TCL Chinese Theatre, alongside generations of Tinsel town icons. In his unique style, Chan has left an impression that no other actor has ever left in Hollywood before.

Surrounded by his fans, Jackie Chan cemented his legacy in the forecourt of the TCL Chinese Theater. Chris Tucker, who co-starred with Jackie in the Rush Hour series, opened the ceremony.

Chris Tucker, actor, said, "I'm so happy for him. He's like a big brother to me. He's such a good friend. I'm always excited to see him so it's a great day! Jackie Chan Day! "

As fans cheered for their hero, this Kung Fu superstar took the stage; and he remembered this is the second he had this honor.

Jackie Chan said, "Actually I think I'm the first one to do the second-time hand print here. 12 years ago, I did the hand print but somebody stole it. Then this is the second time. I really wanna than you, Chris Tucker and my half student Jaden Smith. And thank all my fans around the world. You made my dream come true. Love you all!"

The courtyard of the TCL Chinese Theatre is paved with the hand-and-foot prints of decades of Hollywood greats, but in true Jackie Chan style, he gave more to his fans by placing his nose in the cement too.

Jackie Chan said, "I just want it different. Everybody just did hand print and footprint with their shoe marks on. I said under my shoes, there's a mark. Then I think if the footprint is stuck there, the whole life I'm doing a commercial; the company would have to pay me the whole thing. Then I think what I can do? So ok, I take off my shoes. 12 years ago, I also did my nose print, because everybody calls me Big Nose. That's my trademark. Ok, let's do something special."

Everyone is invited to see Jackie Chan's hand, footprints and nose now permanently displayed at the TCL Chinese Theater.
