(ECNS) -- The overall job satisfaction of Asian Pacific American (APA) employees at US corporations has been on the increase, according to a report conducted by the Asia Society, an organization dedicated to strengthening relationships between the United States and Asia.
The report surveyed employees from Fortune 500 companies. Its results show that 61 percent of Asian Pacific American employees are satisfied with their jobs, a 4 percentage point increase compared to last year.
Although overall job satisfaction levels continue to increase, 40 percent of Asian Pacific Americans surveyed said they do not always feel a sense of belonging at US corporations.
Fifty percent of the APA population over the age of 25 has a bachelor's degree and 20.7 percent has a professional degree, both nearly double the US average, said Mike Kulma, executive director of the Global Leadership Initiatives at the Asia Society.
The overall job satisfaction and engagement of the Asian Pacific Americas are critical to the success of US businesses, Kulma added.
