Shenzhen (Ecns) – The tourist city of Zhangjiajie has announced 33 key projects valued at nearly 40 billion yuan, aimed at Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao.
The projects designed to lure investment cover industries such as urban infrastructure, tourism, new industries, modern agriculture, culture and sports.
Speaking at a meeting Sunday, the city's mayor Xu Xianhui showed confidence in drawing investment.
Xu said that Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao are the most developed regions in China, with high marketization and innovation, as well as advantages in capital, management, technology and human resources.
Meanwhile, as the leader of tourism in Hunan Province, Zhangjiajie is a high-growth city with a transportation network covering air, railways and highways. It also has a wealth of resources and regional advantages, he added.
Scenic spots in Zhangjiajie reportedly received 35.9 million visits from home and abroad in 2012 and realized 20.9 billion yuan in tourism revenue.
