Guo Jingming, the controversial young novelist, said he is confident about his upcoming self-directed movie, because he studied television and film production at university.
The film, Tiny Times, is adapted from his own book series of the same name, which has topped the bestseller lists. Guo said he was best suited to direct because he had been considering the movie adaptation for years.
The movie will hit screens on June 29. Guo was convicted of plagiarism in his second novel in 2004.
