A Chinese citizen has been shot dead in a robbery incident in Kenya's capital of Nairobi.

The victim was shot at close range in the neck on Wednesday night and robbed while walking with his colleagues. The Chinese embassy in Kenya has lodged official representations to the Kenyan side.

It warns Chinese citizens in Kenya to pay more attention to their personal safety, to avoid going out late at night, and to not carry large amount of cash.
