The success of China's first lesson from space has opened a new chapter in China's education history. More than three hundred students joined the class at the High School Affiliated to Renmin University in Beijing and asked the astronauts questions via a live video feed system.

Our reporter Su Yuting has been covering the event. The day after the first lesson from space, she revisited the high school to find out more from students' reaction.

Reviewing the lesson. China's first space lesson was so amazing that students are eager to watch it again.

This is my second visit to the students here at the school, and their eagerness to learn about space exploration is impressive.

Their enthusiasm was spurred by space teacher Wang Yaping and her two crewmates, who demonstrated plenty of rarely-seen phenomena.

The first part of the class was all about weight. This floating pose looked like a scene from a Chinese Kungfu movie.

Later, Wang Yaping conducted various experiments to show what happens in zero gravity. A simple pendulum motion and a gyroscope demonstration showed the difference between space and the Earth.

She also created a water membrane to explain surface tension of liquids in space.

Wang Yaping said, " I did it! The knot is attached to the membrane. It proves just how tough the membrane is."

Su Yuting said, "China's very first lesson from space was visually captivating and thought-provoking. The experiment is sure to be an inspiration for the youngsters eager to explore the unknown. But after the class, they say it's necessary to have deep discussion about the experiments and there are still much more knowledge to learn."

Xu Haibo said, "I felt that science and physics are very interesting, sometimes it's very beautiful. So I think it's necessary for me to explore more about science and physics in the future."

Si Zishuo said, "I think I and other teenagers in China and all over the world should make our contribution to the wide implement of space technology. We should study harder and learn more things from outer space."

Teachers are also have deep impression not only about the space lecture, but also the students' reaction.

Mi Qi, physics teacher of High School Affiliated to Renmin University, said, "The students have seen so many amazing phenomena of physics, and they feel really impressed, when I was on the stage I hear the applause and sound from their own heart. "

The space lesson will surely have a significant influence on Chinese children. It might be a turning point for some who have space dreams. And their dreams will be a driving force in progress to explore the universe.
