Guo Yongxiang, head of the China Federation of Literary and Art Circles' branch in Sichuanprovince, was investigated for seriously violating discipline, according to the Communist Party of China Central Commission for Discipline Inspection, Xinhua News Agency reported on Sunday.
Guo, born in 1949, was from Linyi, Shandongprovince. He worked as deputy governor of Sichuanfrom May 2007 to Jan 2008. He was also a member of the 11th National People's Congress, China's legislative body. In Feb 2009, he was elected as the chairman of the Sichuanbranch of the China Federation of Literary and Art Circles.
