The 15-day Shenzhou-10 mission that concluded Wednesday was perfect with smooth implementation and fruitful achievement, an aerospace official said Wednesday at a press conference.
The Shenzhou-10 mission has made China's manned spacecraft flights successful in a consecutive way, and put a satisfactory end to the first phase of the second step of China's manned space program, Wang Zhaoyao, director of China's manned space program office, told the press conference held shortly after the reentry capsule of Shenzhou-10 spacecraft landed with three astronauts aboard safe and sound.
Wang said the success of Shenzhou-10 mission also laid a solid foundation for construction of China's manned space station in the future.
He said the three astronauts, Nie Haisheng, Zhang Xiaoguang and Wang Yaping performed excellently and the whole process from spacecraft launch to docking with Tiangong-1 target orbiter and its returning and recovery was very smooth, or could even be called "perfect".
Wang said experience has been accumulated through a series of space experiments and activities such as on-orbit repair operation, space lecture and fly-around and rendezvous test with the target module Tiangong-1.
