Hong Kong says it is disappointed that the U.S. has not responded to an official demand for an explanation over computer hacking claims made by former National Security Agency employee Edward Snowden.
Lai Tung-Kwok, Security Secretary, HK SAR, said, "The Security Bureau has already sent a letter to the U.S. on June 21 and officially demanded an explanation. Until now, the U.S. has not replied. We feel very disappointed. The free flow of information, privacy and network safety are extremely important. We hope the American government will give Hong Kong people a satisfying and comprehensive explanation as soon as possible. The Hong Kong government will follow-up on this case closely."
